Permanent jewelry is a clasp-free chain, custom fitted with your choice of a beautiful gemstone, so it stays on day and night. Choose your metal and chain, and wear it home the same day.

How much does permanent jewelry cost?

Permanent jewelry at JK Designs starts at $65, and every piece includes a gemstone of your choice. Larger stones are available for an additional fee.

What metals can I choose from?

We offer 14k solid gold, gold filled, rose gold, and sterling silver options, so you can choose the look and price point that works best for you.

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are recommended for parties of 5 or more so we can give you plenty of time to choose your chain and gemstone. Walk-ins are welcome when availability allows, but booking ahead is the best way to guarantee your spot.

Where can I get permanent jewelry in Charleston, SC?

At both of our downtown Charleston locations: our store at 112 N. Market St., Suite A, connected to Planters Inn, and our booth at the Charleston City Market. Both are open 7 days a week.

What happens if my permanent jewelry breaks?

If your jewelry breaks within 30 days of purchase, bring it back to our store or market location. We can reattach it at no charge or add a clasp at no charge. If neither option works for you, we can offer a full refund after we receive the jewelry. A replacement or refund is not eligible if the chain is lost/missing.

Can I personalize my permanent jewelry?

Yes! This is what makes JK Designs permanent jewelry special. Choose your favorite chain and make it your own by adding a gemstone that represents your birthstone, favorite color, someone special, or simply a stone you love.

Can I add a clasp instead of making it permanent?

Absolutely. If you love the custom-fit experience but aren't ready for permanent jewelry, we can add a clasp so you can easily take your piece on and off.

Can I shower, exercise, swim and travel with permanent jewelry?

Yes! Permanent jewelry is designed to fit into your everyday life. You can shower, sleep, exercise, and travel while wearing it. As with all jewelry, we recommend avoiding harsh chemicals and taking extra care around activities that could pull or snag your chain.

What if I need to remove my permanent jewelry?

No problem! Permanent doesn't mean you can never take it off. Your jewelry can be carefully cut at the connecting ring whenever necessary. Keep your chain and bring it back to us if you'd like to have it reattached or have a clasp added.

What happens after 30 days?

We're still here to help! After 30 days, we can reattach your permanent jewelry or add a clasp for $10.
